I have loved painting ever since I was a child. I continued to create throughout my years at art college, and I still remember the deep sense of fulfilment I felt walking out of the studio after spending an entire day painting.

Later, I moved to the vibrant metropolis of Shanghai, where I began a career in digital art and design. For nearly thirty years, I have worked behind computer screens — from the days of the vintage 386 PC to today’s Mac Pro — bringing countless ideas to life and meeting the ever-changing demands of clients. There were times when I found myself juggling three mobile phones at once, responding to messages almost endlessly.

Life is too short not to spend it doing what you love.

For the years ahead, I want to return to something simpler and more tangible: picking up my brushes again, working with my hands, and rediscovering the quiet joy of painting.

I do not see AI as something to resist. On the contrary, I believe it can be a wonderful tool for creativity — one that can help us bring new meaning, imagination, and joy into our lives.

But what matters most to me is what remains unmistakably human.
